Window Tweaking

Here is one that I get asked pretty often:
How do I make my folder windows open the same way every time I open them?

To choose a list view and to make all My Computer windows appear the same way:

Open My Computer
From the View menu, choose List
Then from the Tools menu,

choose Folder Options. The Folder Options dialog box appears
Verify that the settings are the same as shown below
Click the View tab
Click Like Current Folder
Then click OK.

From now on, your folders should all open consistently unless you change them again yourself later.
