As contract technical writer, created consumer user guides detailing the usage of CDMA mobile phones, using structured SGML in Adobe Framemaker. Results of this project include Nokia 6015i, 6016i, and 3155i user guides.

San Diego Gas and Electric - Sempra Energy - Grid Operations Department - San Diego, Ca - Randy Schimka - Under contract with Act-1 Technical - San Diego, CA As Consultant Technical Writer, created documents for San Diego Gas & Electric's compliance of the North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC) Standards on cyber security. This includes the security of the network of computer systems that control the electricity grid for San Diego. Developed strategies, tactics and procedures to keep the grid safe from failure and intrusion, both physically and electronically. Results of this project included written compliance to NERC 1300 standards, Ongoing physical security efforts, a secure departmental intranet web page, and several network standards and security procedures.

In 15 months, 55 manuals were completed and published for Sony Electronics of America.
