Acceptance

There are gifts that are hard to accept, but they are gifts nontheless. For some it can take a lifetime just to be able to see things as they really are, and to accept that reality. Divine gifts make us larger than we are, larger than we chose to see ourselves. It takes courage to go where the spirit leads, and to humbly accept the calling that comes. I am ready.

Study for Thedras, the Physician

Physician– I would like to acknowledge the Lightworkers group that made the introduction for me to such a wonderful and frightening individual. His name is Thedras, and his work is of the most difficult sort. Are we ready to part with old habits? Broken modes? Emotional parasites? I think I’m ready… The anesthetic is in your eyes, and I am trying, daily, to be brave. Underpainting for Thedras, the physician (in color).

The Guardian’s Decision

Theirs is the most difficult assignment. To intervene in human affairs and compromise the lesson learned, or wait and pick up the pieces after a trial? Asking heaven for the strength to wait… or wisdom to act… the decision will never be easy, for their love for us is great.

New Collosus

This work has come out of our recent national tragedy. We call her Liberty, but she has had another name, the name her artist gave her, after the lost Colossus of Rhodes. She is suprised by pain, but deals with it through work, of cleaning house of all that is unworthy, of cleaning wounds, of cleaning off the dirt and standing forth again, beautiful and indomnitable. Tu ne cede malis sed contra audientor ito: Yield not to misfortune, but advance all the more boldly against it.

All my past and present are there for you to see. Beauty and brilliance, darkness and damage, weave the story of my lives. It all moves me forward into enlightenment.
